Magnesium

I started drinking more water but have noticed since I have been taking more calcium and my iron more regularly...speaking of the iron I have been constipated.

Which one is better, and what is the purpose for either or if you know.  Magnesium Oxide or Magnesium Citrate????

Thank you

For DSers, Citrate is the preferred form of Calcium and Magnesium.  Be sure to take with Vitamin D and you can add Zinc to the mix as well.

Mag oxide helps you poo and mag citrate (dry) helps with calcium absorption and leg cramps. Two different things for different purposes and can be taken at the same time.

I do mag oxide with my calcium to work against the constipation. It hasn't given me any stomach problems and poo remains relatively soft. I seem to have a pretty durable stomach for that stuff though.

For Irob according to my hematologist, Carbonyl is best (ie Ferasol, or Vitalady) for us.
